This feature is to specify split or merge settings for sub cars.

To modify the setting, select a train on the timetable or the diagram, and then select [Edit]-[Split/Merge] from the main menu.

When you add new sub cars, press <Add> button on [Split/Merge Setting] dialog box. When you delete existing sub cars, press <Delete> button. <Modify> button is to modify the section for sub cars.
