　英語俳句を楽しもう！

俳句と言えば、松尾芭蕉。　「人生は旅」と考え、「奥の細道」紀行へ。　英語圏でも俳句が盛んになっていますが、 俳句の5-7-5音節が本当にうまく英語に当てはまるのでしょうか？　カナダでの子供のための俳句コンテスト優秀作品 を紹介します。

バイクの子　春風のごと　街の中　　（直訳 Yoshi55）

ライク・ア・フレッシュ・スプリング・ブリーズ(５)、ザ・チル・ドレン・オン・バイ・シ・クルズ(７)、 ライド・ア・ロング・ザ・ストリート(５) と、口調もなめらかに　５-７-５　音節になっています。

今や、英語俳句は季語や音節にこだわらない自由な短い３行詩として確立され、5-7-5 の音節にもこだわらないのが 普通のようです。　大切なのは共感がもてること、それに情景が浮かぶと楽しいですね。
