Aurora Trip(2) |
I and my company colleage visited Yellow Knife, Canada in January of 2002. This was my second aurora viewing trip. We have selected the days closer to a New moon so that the sky is totally dark. But we could not control the weather. It was cloudy for almost every night and sky cleared only occasionally. During those clearings we were able to see aurora two nights out of three nights of stay. This time, aurora was dim and moved so fast that details of aurora were not captured on film. Reddish color on trees is due to red safety lamps placed on the grounds. |
