About Kinchaku-da


Kinchaku-da, literally translated to 'purse shaped field' is a round farming area about 500yards across. A meandering river created this small patch of land surrounded by a river. Currently, it is famous for a colony of cluster amaryllis. In season (mid September), on weekends, tens of thouthouds of people visit here in chartered buses, trains and cars.

How to get there: The closest train station is Koma (Seibu-Ikebukuro Line.) It is about 20 minute's walk to the Kinchaku-da. If you are comming from Tachikawa, take Hakkou line to Higashi Han-nou and change to Seibu-Ikebukuro Line to Koma station.)
