About Yuusuge and its Colony
Yuusuge (Hemerocallis citrina) is a noctifllorous flower, that is, its flower opens up in the evening and lasts only till the following morning. Its color is rather pale. Many women love this flower because of the color and its short life.
There is a large colony of Yuusuge near Lake Haruna, about 120Km northwest of Tokyo (as the cow flies, that is.) Lake Haruna is a crater lake with elevation of 1,100 meters.
