How to Use Pickett 101C Circular Slide Rule
There is only one plate and no "rotatable" second disk. Instead, it has two "indicators". We would call the one closer to the disk "L" indicator (for lower; one which is longer), and the other "U" indicator (for upper; shorter).

Like regular slide rules, there are several ways to do the calculation. The following illustration is one of them. It is the first example in Pickett's mannual.

Let's say we want to calculate 14 x 23. First, set the U indicator at origin(1.0). Second, keeping the U indicator at origin by your fingers, move the L indicator to 14 on C scale as shown in Figure 1. Then, move the L indicator until U indicator is over 23. U indicator moves together with the L indicator. The answer is found under the L indicator (322) as shown in Figure 2.
