I have built a gothic style organ at the inner balcony of the logos church in Hachiouji city Tokyo Japan.

In Switzerland, there is a town named Sion, where there is the worldfs oldest playable pipe organ in the Valeria chapel. As well as the beauty of its appearance in Gothic style, the tones of the organ are still clean and lively over 500 years.  I visited  the chapel twice.

The frame and other wooden parts of the organ are made from boards of the Japanese oak I recycled from school shoe boxes.

I made this organ by using the main parts of a reed organ which had been thrown away. The wind pressure of this organ is 48mm and that gives the organ a good tone. The pipes are made of spruce. Each stick under the keyboard opens and closes a valve in the wind box directly, and air is sent by the silicone tube with a diameter of 7mm. The temperament is by Kirnberger‡V. I received appropriate guides and advices from famous organ builder Mr.Tetsuo Kusakari. I could catch the key to complete this organ by it.

I purchased a copy of technical drawing of Joannes Couchet harpsichord of 1645 from The Russell Collection in England, and based on this, I made this instrument. Width was a little enlarged. The sideboard was not of poplar, but it was made of katsura wood. The bottom board was made of spruce.
